You should have an inventory system that guarantees that you have enough stuff to last for each period so that you minimize the costs of stock outs. Shortage of stocks has so many disadvantages to your restaurant. Customers will get frustrated if they were eagerly waiting for you to serve them. They will move to other restaurants where there is enough supply for everything they want if you do not keep a good inventory.
